Mystical Orange Juice

Most mystic literature begins by telling you how impossible it is to comprehend the mystical experience. Here's an example:

The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.

But if you think about life for a moment, you'll realize that all of our experiences are like that. How would you describe the taste of freshly squeezed orange juice to someone who had never tasted it before? We fill books trying to explain both the similarity and the uniqueness of being in love, traveling abroad, etc. Human experience is unexplainable - but we never stop trying. The mystical experience is just another experience. One that brings some unique feelings and insights, but so does falling in love, or touching the stove for the first time.
